i am slightly addicted to these games

I just got off a 5-hour gaming binge and honestly, my eyes feel like they’re dancing with strobe lights right now. But it’s all worth it when you’re diving headfirst into the chaos of the Xbox Series X lineup. It’s like each game is a universe begging you to become its new dictator or at least, its reluctant hero.

You ever try taming the Wild West in ‘Red Dead Redemption 2′? Arthur Morgan’s life isn’t one I’d trade for a spa day, but riding through those misty valleys is pure bliss. Reminds me of the scenery near my grandparents’ farm, except their cows don’t talk back or require any duels (yet). And then there’s the heart-pounding rhythm of ‘Halo Infinite’. I mean, if you’ve never screamed at a TV over a stuck grenade, are you even alive?

Let’s not forget ‘Elden Ring’. I’m convinced its levels were designed by a sadistic genius. You think you’re done dodging unnerving creatures; turns out, surprise! There’s a terror lurking right around the corner. If anyone knows how to send adrenaline soaring like Jeff Bezos’s space trend, it’s this team. I saw this wild list of home-brew projects and the creativity reminds me of some of these game quests.

But the real kicker has to be ‘Forza Horizon 5’. Imagine getting to cruise through virtual landscapes that are somehow more real than your morning commute. Those dust particles flying up from tires are no joke. They made me feel like my living room had somehow expanded into a desert. Not to mention the soundtrack that makes speeding well past realistic limits almost poetic.

Each of these games offers something uniquely addicting. It’s a weird time-warp where you promise yourself, “just one more mission” but it’s 3 AM and suddenly, you’re telling Arthur sorry for keeping him up for 20 in-game days. If you know, you know. My eyes still hurt. I need coffee. Ugh.
