xbox, square enix, and the great console circus

Xbox and Square Enix? That’s like putting pineapple on a pizza. You’re either with it, or it makes you want to rage (kind of like my Wi-Fi every Thursday night).

So, the rumors are swirling. Persona 6 on Xbox? My inner PlayStation fan is gasping for air right now. But hey, if Square Enix wants to shake things up, let them. Who doesn’t love a little chaos in the console world, right? Honestly, I just picture the executives in some neon-lit conference room, throwing darts at a board for their next move: “Persona on Xbox? Why not!” I guess we’ll have to wait for some official confirmation or something crazy like that.

Meanwhile, the anticipated arrival of PlayStation’s first-party games is the talk of the town (more like the chaotic echo chamber that is Twitter). In a grand theatrical style, these games are always clutching us at the heartstrings yet keeping us waiting like it’s the DMV line. I’m talking months of delays, teasers, and snippets that drive you insane. The hype is real, and the trolls are out in full force.

Have you guys seen the list of potential game releases? It’s a thing of beauty. I mean, if gaming nominations were a beauty pageant, PlayStation would be sashaying down the runway, while Xbox sits in the judge’s panel, sipping from a ‘World’s Best Gamer’ mug.

I don’t know about you, but tracking these gaming battles feels like keeping up with a soap opera. Except instead of love triangles, you have feature wars and timing battles (and just as dramatic sometimes). It’s all fun and noise until you realize you haven’t washed your dishes in two days because you’re lost in an internet rabbit hole.

My eyes still burn from the screen. I really need coffee. But first, are we really getting Persona 6 on Xbox? Ugh, anyhow, stay tuned.
